Hello Everyone, I've made a few updates to the site. You can now create your own newsletter filters, allowing you to choose the types of jobs you're interested in and how often you'd like to receive newsletter updates. Thx @ Patrícia for the idea. I've also enhanced the job tracker on your dashboard. You can now filter jobs by job type, save jobs you're interested in, and save your filter preferences so that only matching jobs are displayed when you return. If you have any other ideas or feature suggestions, send them my way and I'll do my best to add them. Once you're logged in, you'll find my contact information in the dashboard side navigation. Thanks for your continued feedback and support!

AnnieBHi everyone! 👋 I recently passed my DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certification and am so excited to join the accessibility community! My background is a bit of a mix—I did web QA testing a while back, but I’ve spent the last several years working in management, counseling, and education. Since I am looking to land my first job as a Trusted Tester and don't have direct hands-on experience in this field yet, I would love to chat with anyone who has made a similar career change. If you have a few minutes to share any tips or advice on how to get started, I would be so grateful! Looking forward to connecting and learning from you all. 😊

nmanguI am writing to express my interest in the Accessibility Specialist (Remote) position with a focus on remediation. With extensive experience leading Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and PDF/UA compliance initiatives, I bring a proven track record of transforming complex digital assets into fully accessible, standards‑aligned deliverables. My background spans hands‑on remediation, accessibility auditing, QA leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration—making me well‑equipped to support organizations seeking to strengthen accessibility compliance and deliver inclusive digital experiences. I am highly proficient with tools such as WAVE, ANDI, Axe, CCA, Lighthouse, JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver, and I routinely apply semantic structure, ARIA techniques, keyboard accessibility standards, and assistive technology testing to ensure accuracy and usability. Any help with recommendation to openings/roles would highly be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

joshsimpson@George, also my name is displayed from Google's data instead of my profile's preferred name, so another bug to add to your list.

joshsimpson@George It is very frustrating to see job posts with REMOTE tag on it then when you go to the application, it is not a remote position. Can you alleviate this?

AbeGeorge. I mentioned this to you via email in the past. I just wanted to thank you again for creating this board. It's also apparent how much you want to see this board succeed. The updates that you've been making are exceptionally quick. Thanks again! Awesome work!

GeorgeAbe, thanks for checking out the job board. I’ve been working on this new version for quite a while and decided to push it live once I felt it was stable and working without too many issues. I still find bugs here and there, but they’ve been manageable. I’ve learned a lot while building this app, especially about continuous integration processes and how to maintain it much better than the last version.

George@Miranda I have removed the year requirement from education. I'm still looking into the ipad issue, I'll yet you know once I have more info from my testing.
    Apr 25, 1:35 PM

  • M
mcapra@George When viewing job postings on an iPad it’s impossible to scroll the page without also scrolling the job listings. Also, having year required for education in your job seeker profile is problematic for older seekers.

kellycrowley@george - I should have said - I really appreciate all that you are doing to facilitate connections in this community of professionals.
    Apr 18, 6:07 PM

George@kellycrowley I try to vet the jobs myself as thoroughly as possible. Some may still slip through, but I’ve added a Report button to each job post—if you see something that seems off or should be reviewed, please use it. I check those reports and remove anything that doesn’t belong. I’ll also start adding certain job boards to a blocklist when needed. I can’t always link directly to a company’s website since I’m not always aware they’ve posted the role there as well. My goal is to keep listings legitimate, but some bad actors have become very convincing with ghost jobs and scam postings.
    Apr 17, 1:56 AM

  • K
kellycrowley@george - just curious if there's any vetting that listings have to go through? asking because I have twice now clicked on apply and been taken to a company that is different than the one the role is supposedly with. one of those times I found the role on the company website but the other I did not, and one of the reasons I love this site is that the roles are generally legit (more so than LinkedIn)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmThank you. Can confirm it's fixed on my side
    Apr 13, 11:06 AM

George@- The issue should now be resolved. The problem was caused by browsers like Brave and plugins such as Wipr blocking a JavaScript file due to the presence of the keyword “cookie” in the source code. When that file was blocked, the application code failed to load properly, which caused the page not to render.
    Apr 12, 4:19 PM

  • G
George@- Yes, I’m seeing the same issue in Brave too. I think it might be related to Cloudflare adding some JavaScript that Wipr or Brave blocks. I’ll dig into it and put a fix in once I figure out exactly what’s causing it. Thanks for the feedback—it really helps, and I’m always learning.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmHello. Thank you for creating the website. After the UI update, I get an issue with my adblocker called Wipr 2 for Safari on iOS and MacOS. When I open the website with the adblocker on, the page goes completely blank, so I have to reload without content blockers every time. Never seen it anywhere else.

OysteinHello, good job on the updated design! I experienced an issue using the keyboard on the main navigation. I tab to "Resources" and press "Enter" or "Space" to open the sub-menu. I can move between the sub-menu items using the Up and Down arrow keys. But I cannot move focus back to the main navigation. Hope I explained well enough :)

    Apr 3, 2:10 PM

  • G
George@Kate, thank you for the feedback! On your profile page, there’s an import button that lets you pull in some information from LinkedIn, though they do limit what users can download. A job tracking feature is a great idea—I think that’s something I can add, but it isn’t available yet.
