About the Team
You will be joining one of Workday’s most exciting product organizations, the Experience Design and Development Group (EDDG). With nearly 500 workmates, EDDG is responsible for elevating Workday’s User Experience, and delivering products that our customers love. Ensuring that our products are designed to be inclusive of all demographics is critical to our values and the work that we do. We are seeking a Product Manager for the Accessibility team to champion this important work, establish standards for excellence, and help be the voice of diverse perspectives within and beyond our organization.

Based in the United States and reporting to our Director of Accessibility ; you will be responsible for leading the accessibility scrum team, communicating with customers, managing roadmaps, and delivering accessibility guidance for the EDDG organization and beyond.

Your duties will include:

Working closely with engineering, design, sales and customer success teams to collect and prioritize product inputs

Working with our accessibility researcher to inform product decisions

Applying expertise in accessibility to help partner with all product functions surrounding the user experience.

Helping define the plan to address further dimensions of accessibility, in addition to driving the adoption and implementation of that guidance across Workday.

Serving as an advisor across product development teams throughout the Product Development Lifecycle as they define and execute on their roadmaps, to ensure diverse perspectives are considered across all demographics.

Assisting with coordinating outreach to educate partners, within EDDG and beyond, on the latest product inclusion trends via panels and workshops. Build engagement through consistent updates/knowledge sharing.

Collaborate with partners across Products & Technology to drive a culture of inclusion in the product lifecycle.

Supporting the development of an educational program and deploying guidelines/resources for individual product designers and design teams to encourage independent contribution to program goals.

Creating and maintaining artifacts, learning content and enablement tools and resources.

Attending customer meetings and events to clearly communicate product roadmaps, discuss issues filed by customers, and clearly communicate expectations.

About You

Basic Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in driving accessibility requirements and projects

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Communications, Business, or Software Engineering

Other Qualifications

Passionate about about inclusive product design and development

Familiarity with WCAG and other related accessibility standards

Knowledge of ARIA and HTML and CSS

Solid understanding of product management and software development lifecycle

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong networking and relationship building skills

Self starter, enthusiastic, high energy, engaging

Quick learner, creative, strategic problem solver
