Job Description

Front End Developer

U.S. Bank is seeking a front-end developer with hands on technical experience building web applications in an agile environment. This individual will be responsible for software development and support of the bank’s Sales and Onboarding web application which includes ensuring the quality of the final product through collaboration with the bank’s User Experience group, Business Line representatives and marketing teams.

It is critical for this position to have not only the technical skills relative to development and design, but strong collaboration and communication skills in order to support this entire agile scrum team.

Responsibilities include:

Design and implement scalable front-end components and architectures.
Collaborate with the user experience group to design performant, accessible and secure user interface components.
Maintain and document shared component libraries for use inside and outside a given project.
Work with accessibility consultants to ensure a high level of application accessibility.
Work with our DevOps team to configure and support continuous integration pipelines.
Creativity to solve all the challenges that come with rapid software development.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years in Web Application Development

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Deep React or Angular experience
A11y accessibility skills
Experience with maintaining and distributing and internal software library
Experience with web security principles (OWASP top ten and others)
Experience with WCAG standards and building accessible web applications.
DevOps capabilities including containers, cloud deployments, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines.
REST, SOAP or GraphQL API development.
Exposure/experience in Gitlab/GitHub, Artifactory, Jira, Jenkins.
