We're looking for people who are passionate about creating great accessible iOS applications.

You've been around for several Xcode releases and you know how to delight iOS users. You've watched all of the WWDC A11y sessions and you're passionate about building highly accessible experiences and helping others do the same. You like building for the long term and value patterns and structures that allow for maximum flexibility in a constantly evolving product.

As an iOS Engineer, you will work with a cross-disciplinary team, using your extensive knowledge in iOS Accessibility APIs to make the Slack experience the best it can possibly be. You will also work within the wider iOS team to advise and evangelize for best A11y practices and help us maintain a strong and consistent accessible mindset.

Slack on iOS is used by millions of people every week - we need engineers who want to make that experience as pleasant as possible.

What you should have

10+ years experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Experience developing with Swift
A strong understanding of Apple's Accessibility APIs
A strong understanding of data structures, networking and data synchronization
Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and other developers to create a truly delightful mobile experience
A disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment
A passion for setting best practices guidelines and helping other developers ensure they are also delivering highly accessible mobile experiences.
Deep understanding of the iOS system framework
Expertise with the iOS tool ecosystem for development, testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking
A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things higher

Experience using Slack and a keen interest in making it better
A passion for building and maintaining great open source projects or otherwise contributing to the iOS community

The base pay range targeted for this role is $169,167 - $203,000 . This base pay range is for illustrative purposes only. This position is eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: incentive compensation; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; commuter benefits; paid time off (including PTO, emergency time off, paid sick leave, medical leave, volunteer time off, civic duty leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); parental leave and benefits; mobile phone and internet allowance; perks stipend; and other employee perks and benefits.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
