The Digital Accessibility Coordinator will ensure that SeamlessDocs is making its digital tools accessible to all citizens and staff. Responsibilities include:
Conduct ongoing compliance audits of our website and SaaS platform and issue recommendations for improvement / optimizations.
Help strategize for ongoing and future internal development projects.
Help create and update Digital Accessibility handbooks / guides that will be used internally and distributed to our government partners.
Proactively engaging departments internally to provide education and guidance, including giving presentations or leading workshops on building accessible digital products
Provide consultative services to our government partners looking to improve digital accessibility and expand access to their digital tools to members of the disabled community.
Advocating for our work on digital accessibility in the broader tech and disability communities
Understanding and advocating for people of all abilities including People with physical, visual, hearing, cognitive and developmental disabilities.
Minimum qualified requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology specialty, Accessibility, or related fields.)
1-2 years of experience working with accessible technology.
Knowledge of ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1.
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Experience leading workshops;
Excellent teamwork skills;
Broad experience working with the disabled community
