Digital Access: Learning, Assistive, and Adaptive Technologies Provides subject matter expertise, evaluation, testing, advocacy, training, and technical assistance in the curricular and extra-curricular arenas for campus wide compliance with Section 504, Section 508, and the ADAA (2008), WCAG 2.0 Level AA. This position performs assistive and adaptive technologies assessments for students and implements appropriate assistive and adaptive technologies and follows up on effectiveness of the technologies.

508 and WCAG Compliance
Develops, implements, , maintains, and regularly analyzes and revises all aspects of Alternative Content/Format Accommodations processes. Perform Section 508 evaluation, testing, and remediation of files that include, but are not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF to ensure access to persons with disabilities who utilize screen readers or other assistive technologies.
Testing
Coordinates the make-up testing and accommodated testing for the campus. Leads and trains the student worker test proctors to ensure that all test proctoring requests are correctly implemented including, but not limited to extra time, private rooms, NPRO and ATI exams, assistive technology, computer-based exams, and paper-based exams.

Accommodations
Communicate with prospective students and their families about potential accommodations, the process for requesting accommodations, and the role of ARC in supporting student success facilitate communication between students and faculty in compliance with Section 504 and ADA regulations.
Required Qualifications

Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act 1973, WCAG 2.0 Level AA Standards, and W3C to ensure compliance of accessibility laws and regulations.
Expertise in Section 508 evaluation, testing, and remediation of files that include, but are not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF to ensure access to persons with disabilities who utilize screen readers or other assistive technologies
Expertise in reviewing and evaluating disability documentation to approve/provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to students.
Knowledge of and experience in the accommodation process and procedures in higher education settings
Skills in assistive and adaptive technologies sufficient to recommend and facilitate easier navigation for all end users.
Proficiency in PC and Mac platforms sufficient to proof, edit, create accessible documents.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse populations and individuals with disabilities.
Ability to understand written and spoken English sufficient to explain complex processes to students, staff, and faculty
