The Systems Accessibility Analyst in the Application Development & Operations department of the University Libraries plays a key role in the Libraries’ initiative to achieve full digital accessibility compliance of legacy and current systems per federal and University standards. This role serves as an in-house Ohio State Web Accessibility Certified Tester (W-CAT) and performs digital accessibility evaluations of applications built in-house, products acquired from vendors, web content, and electronic documents, using both automated tools and manual testing methods; prepares reports of accessibility issues and communicates findings to content creators and service owners; and collaborates with the Libraries’ development team and product owners to prioritize accessibility defects in product backlogs. The Systems Accessibility Analyst develops and delivers a training program on digital accessibility to Libraries’ staff and faculty; provides consultation to individuals and teams; and remediates documents upon request. The incumbent also provides project management support for accessibility initiatives, including the assessment and remediation of legacy systems and content, AI-generated remediation, and other automation/development efforts.

Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience relevant to position responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge of accessibility standards, including Section 508, Section 508 Refresh, WCAG 2-2.2 Level A, AA, and PDF standards.
Extensive experience with assistive technologies (such as JAWS, NVDA, etc.).
IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals) certification (CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS).
Proven ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders with varying levels of expertise on the topics of accessibility assessment and remediation.

Desired:

Project management experience.

Additional Information:

Eligible for a remote work arrangement within the state of Ohio.

Posting Range

The posting range for this position is $70,100-$91,600 annually.
