Responsibilities

Develop and implement relevant policies, procedures and practices related to religious accommodations at the Administration for Children and Families (ACF).
Receive and process inquiries and requests for religious accommodations within ACF.
Provide back-up to the Reasonable Accommodation Specialist in the ACF- Office of Diversity Management and EEO(ODME) agency in processing disability reasonable accommodation (RA) requests and Personal Assistance Services (PAS) requests.
Serve as back up technical consultant in RA and PAS matters, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Assist the Reasonable Accommodations Specialist to ensure that RA and PAS requests are properly processed within the time requirements in the ACF procedures unless circumstances outside of the employee's control prevents otherwise.
Serve as ODME’s Anti-Harassment Coordinator (AHC) for ACF, as needed, by receiving and processing inquiries and complaints regarding harassment and hostile working environment, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including ACF's Anti-Harassment Policy Statement and ODME's internal procedure on Reporting and Responding to Harassment Allegations in the Workplace.
Ensure timeframes specified in relevant regulations and procedures are met.
Assist ODME Director, and other relevant staff, in the preparation of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility reports, as well as internal ODME reports
Collaborate with other ODME staff to ensure data is up to date for the different reports collected and properly documented/recorded.
Address individual internal accommodation and accessibility requests and complaints
Update, develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices related to religious and disability reasonable accommodations
Work with staff to make sure agency complies with laws and regulations, including E.O. 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in the Federal Workforce
Receive and process internal inquiries and complaints regarding harassment as needed, and ensure all time frames within regulations and procedures are met
Assist with preparation of monthly and annual EEO and DEIA reporting
Assist agency Director to ensure compliance with administrative requirements
Other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working with accommodations and accessibility issues within a government agency, corporation, or organization preferred 
Possess a working knowledge of or strong familiarity with federal EEO and Anti-Harassment laws
Must have first-hand experience fielding harassment complaints and requests for accommodations
Experience with EEO and other compliance reporting strongly preferred
