Job Description

At Regions, the Digital User Experience (UX) Accessibility Analyst works as an active partner throughout the digital product lifecycle to provide customers and prospective customers with an inclusive experience regardless of the customers ability to view our content. This role is responsible for creating an inclusive experience by providing guidance to improve usability and accessibility for customers and prospective customer that use assistive technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborates with Designers, Developers, Content Specialists, Subject Matter Experts, Technology and Line of Business partners to influence product development
Develops guidelines for architects, designers and developers to aid in compliance with the current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Provides accessibility expert guidance to UX Design, UX Content, UX Engineers and Technology developers
Supports Procurement by participating in third party tool reviews to assess Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance and identify potential issues onboarding new tools
Engages in quality audits and assist with remediation roadmaps where necessary
Conducts accessibility testing for enterprise digital using manual and automated methods for desktop and mobile applications
Uses assistive technologies to evaluate digital properties
Assesses level of conformity to WCAG standards and assign a severity level of issues that are uncovered
Manages and prioritizes critical ADA defects
Troubleshoots accessibility issues and provide the necessary HTML, CSS and JavaScript changes for remediation as needed
Communicates findings and recommendations in a variety or mediums (video, screen cast, confluence)
Reviews and approve accessibility JIRA tickets in SAFE
Provides project-based team training for ADA awareness, implementing solutions and to ultimately foster innovation through accessibility
May train internal Accessibility Analysts in order to standardize methodologies, systems and processes

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in design, computer science, information sciences, psychology, human factors, HCI, or related field
Six (6) years experience performing accessibility testing
Experience testing native Mobile Apps for Accessibility
Experience using ADA tools JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, Android Talkback, WAVE, AXE
Experience with ARIA markup, knowledge of JavaScript, semantic HTML
In depth knowledge of ADA standards (WCAG)

Skills And Competencies

Ability to evaluate improvement opportunities through continuous monitoring
Ability to work within Agile/Scrum/SAFe development methodologies
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team to listen effectively, to respect others’ perspectives and contributions, and to offer and accept feedback openly
Experience creating influential relationships with cross-functional teams including development and product management within and across product groups
Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
