Sr. UX/UI Product Designer

Understood.org is seeking a Senior UX/UI Product Designer who can help shape the future product experiences for our Understood Parents (of children who think and learn differently), Educators (of students who think and learn differently) and Young Adults (who think and learn differently). As an integral part of the digital team, the designer should be a highly motivated self-starter who can help design engaging and inspiring digital experiences across platforms and devices. You should also be a strong conceptual thinker who is comfortable with synthesizing complex ideas and turn them into simple and elegant solutions. Your manager will be the Director of UX/UI Design.

You will:
-Understand user needs, motivations, and behaviors to derive user requirements and translate into concrete product concepts or features
-Brainstorm, sketch, wireframe, and prototype product designs
-Create different things: site or application map, user flows, storyboards, wireframes, visual design comps
-Create new things, contribute to design mission, specifications, and criteria
-Present to stakeholders

You have:
-Experience as a product/interface/interaction designer, the more the better
-Experience designing cross-platform and device digital products
-Experience with design software and wireframe/prototyping tools, e.g. Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma, Invision, etc.
-Comfort with HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
-Portfolio with web/mobile applications
