JOB SUMMARY:


This person will lead campus efforts to provide exemplary barrier-free Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and oversee compliance with state and federal regulations to ensure that people with disabilities can access the ICT resources provided by the University. Other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:


35% - Essential - Lead and coordinate campus efforts to provide accessible ICT, prioritizing based on available resources and University needs. Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and vendors to implement accessibility across the University.

30% - Essential - Oversee testing and reporting, maintain records of compliant and non-compliant technology across the University. Works in conjunction with various experts across campus to ensure compliance.

15% - Essential - Promote ICT accessibility awareness through outreach and training to effect systemic change. Represent the University on various committees and groups as an accessibility contact. Develop, coordinate and deliver trainings and programs which may involve workshops, programs and presentations.

10% - Essential - Establish policies, standards, and procedures related to the University's providing accessible ICT.

10% - Essential - Stay abreast of emerging assistive, information, and instructional technologies and solutions. Attend seminars and conferences relating to ICT accessibility. Acquire new skills, knowledge and abilities as required by the job. Participate in personal and professional development activities.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Work Exp 3+ years working in the area of Information Technology or Assistive Technology.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Education - 1st Master's Degree - IT, Computer Science, or related field

Assistive Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science

Experience working with people with disabilities; experience with various assistive technologies, HTML, and CSS; strong written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
