Senior Front End Software Engineer

In this impactful role, you will work closely with customers and engineering teams to deliver accessible user interfaces and dashboards that enable our innovative payment system and services to be utilized by some of the biggest and fastest-growing software companies in the world. You will work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and external auditors to identify, address, and prevent accessibility issues. As the technical expert on accessibility, you will be involved throughout the entire development process, from initial design discussions about the needs of users with disabilities to consulting on the development and testing of complex interactions, to involvement in regular audits across the site. You will collaborate with engineers and designers to teach accessibility best practices through documentation, training, and consulting.
Our development is done in the cloud, using JavaScript, React / Redux, SASS, Webpack, etc

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent development experience
2+ years of experience
Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
Experience using modern front-end tools such as React, Redux, SASS, webpack, jest, etc.
Knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and experience implementing features that follow accessibility best practices
Experience with using common assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, TalkBack, ZoomText, Dragon)
Familiarity with Android or iOS accessibility
Familiarity with accessibility testing tools
Deep understanding of HTML semantics
Working knowledge in Python or Java
An open-minded and flexible nature with pragmatic problem-solving approaches
The ability and willingness to take complete ownership over a feature, bug, or entire project and drive it to completion
