Job Description

Experience range - 6-10 years**


Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain the accessibility of the existing web applications.
Identify accessibility issues by running scans on web pages.
Identify potential solutions and discuss with engineering teams and stakeholders for approval.
Implement approved solutions and test on both desktop and mobile browsers.
Coordinate with accessibility testing squads on the fixes.
Document fixes and mentor team members
Ensure code quality through writing unit tests performing code reviews and adhering to coding standards.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and recommend improvements to the existing system architecture.



Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience working as an UI developer with prior accessibility experience.
Strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines.
Strong proficiency in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Typescript Angular RxJS SASS or SCSS NodeJS and Web Accessibility.
Hands-on experience in unit testing frameworks like Karma Jasmine Jest etc.
Hands on experience in screen readers like NVDA JAWS Voiceover and Talkback.
Familiarity with both desktop and mobile browsers like Google Edge and Safari and should be able to use devtools for debugging purposes.
Familiarity with Axe tool.- Experienced in cloud platform like AWS
Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Solid understanding of software development best practices including version control (e.g. Git) Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
