Senior Accessibility Auditor - UK / USA

About the Role: As a Senior Accessibility Auditor, you must be skilled in WCAG auditing, have experience in customer-facing roles for consulting and training. You will also work with the Accessibility Director in leading the internal audit team, developing the company's future services & resources and will be responsible for teaching/mentoring, tools provisioning and curriculum development.

You will be responsible for identifying issues through accessibility testing and suggesting potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related laws.

You MUST be based in UK or US now - this is 100% remote work set-up

Responsibilities:
Conduct fully automated and manual audits for client requirements
Establish communication and monitor implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings
Suggest necessary support procedures and training documentation
Train, lead and support the internal audit team
Collaborate with web developers on WCAG compliant designs
Record problems/defects identified during testing
Retest problems after they are resolved by the development team
Communicate the status of testing, including reporting of overall test results


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5-7 years of relevant accessibility auditing experience
Experience working with and/or developing web content that achieves Level AA conformance as
prescribed by the W3C, (WCAG 2.1)
Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1
Thorough knowledge of personal computers, internet technologies, and Microsoft Office suite of tools including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of programming concepts
Native mobile app audit experience, strong experience in HTML is must and good understanding of CSS, JavaScript
Highly technical and knowledgeable of HTML / CSS / JavaScript / ARIA


Desired Skills:
Thorough working knowledge of how to make web content and applications compliant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA Standards
Ability to identify and suggest potential solutions to deliver accessible content on web and mobile devices
Extensive knowledge of manual and automated accessibility testing
Demonstrated ability to gather resources and information needed to understand content and options
Ability to utilize assistive technologies such as screen readers
Ability to utilize computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting activities
Ability to communicate to a wide range of project stakeholders, e.g., Executives, Managers, Designers, Developers, and Administrators
