Summary of Position
We are looking for an experienced product manager with accessibility expertise, global customer empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage parallel solution streams effectively. As the Product Manager, Accessibility you will help improve accessibility across the full line of SANS products and experiences. You will also assist in the coordination and monitoring of accessibility progress for products. You will work with product development and SANS businesses to help identify and scope accessibility features and to maintain and support SANS’ standards for accessibility.


Key Responsibilities

Identifying and prioritizing accessibility needs supporting contracts and sales cycle and act as SME when responding to RFPs
Identifying, scoping, and driving cross‐functional accessibility improvements throughout SANS experiences, content and learning delivery products
Define and maintain the VPAT for SANS experiences, content, and learning delivery products
Defining technical requirements and driving the delivery of accessibility tooling solutions
Creating and evangelize best practices to drive the adoption of accessible practices in the product development organization
Managing the technical roadmap, backlog, and technical debt related to accessibility
Fostering relationships between internal teams and technical partners
Ensure product readiness and solution launches are seamless and measured
Manage and coordinate with external accessibility vendors
Provide consulting / guidance for other projects/products as to technical product architecture and capabilities.

Skills, Experience, and Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product-driven businesses
5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years building and launching consumer products
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Deep understanding of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and solutions
A proven track record of delivering solutions working across multiple teams
Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems and processes
Experience working with Agile software practices or Lean principles
Comfortable working in a virtual organization with some travel, when re‐instated
Fluent in English, particularly in written communications

Reporting Relationships
This position will sit in the Product Development organization and report to the Head of Product Development.


Work Environment
The right candidate will need to be comfortable working in a remote work environment.
