Overview
The 508 Compliance Tester is a team member who is experienced with 508 Compliance testing of web software applications. As a part of the team, analyze and implement testing activities in support of the design, development, and implementation of large, complex PeopleSoft projects. Ensure the delivered software and documentation is adequately tested and meets quality and compliance standards.

Coordinate and complete 508 Compliance testing activities to ensure the deliver software meets WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Guidelines.
Work closely with teammates and clients in design sessions to translate 508 compliance requirements into system requirement specifications.
Stay current with accessibility test tools and techniques.
Write test scenarios, test cases, and test plans
Identify and prepare test data in support of test activities.
Analyze, report, and track defects found during testing.
Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process.
Ensure delivery of code and systems meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:

2+ years testing experience
1+ years 508 Compliance specific testing experience
Thorough knowledge of the Agile development process
Proficient in use of JIRA for requirement and defect management
Experience with accessibility testing tools
Experience writing and executing SQL queries
Experience reading and editing XML files
Experience with PeopleSoft software preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid judgement and decision-making abilities
Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team
Education and Experience: This position prefers a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or relevant work experience. Experience with government and/or Department of Defense environments preferred.



Clearance: A background investigation at the T3 level is required, as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.



Work Schedule: Hybrid work schedule, going in office 2 days a week.
