This position

The Accessibility QA Tester will be responsible for identifying and suggesting potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the W3C WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related laws. This person also contributes to efforts aimed at delivering accessible apps/content on websites, mobile platforms and documents like PDFs.

This person should be knowledgeable in a variety of common electronic communication accessibility barriers for people with hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, and vision disabilities. In addition, the Accessibility QA Tester will conduct comprehensive accessibility testing based on the WCAG 2.0 Level A & AA Success Criteria and federal requirements using the following methodologies: visual analysis; automated scans; screen reader reviews; color sampling; keyboard-only testing; browser plug-ins; and code reviews.

This position reports to the Lead Accessibility Engineer/SME.

Responsibilities

Deliver clear, detailed, and well-written assessments of DocuSign features and apps
Interface with internal PMs, Devs, QA, Design and our partners to explain accessibility barriers and potential solutions in everyday language as well as technical language
Prioritize issues based on factors such as severity, quantity, user impact, and difficulty
Perform accessibility analysis on mockups and wireframes to identify potential barriers and violations
Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments
Teach and evangelize accessible coding, design, QA and practices throughout DocuSign
Research new features and technologies
Basic Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
1+ years industry experience in Accessibility Testing
This role is not eligible for sponsorship or OPT
Preferred Qualifications

Certified IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS)
Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and tool sets
Experience with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers (PC, Mac and iOS experience)
Extensive knowledge of WCAG 2.0, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 and ADA guidelines
Extensive knowledge of ARIA
Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects
Strong communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
