Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Architect with significant experience working with assistive technologies, testing digital content for Accessibility and providing technical remediation guidance.

Job Duties
- SME of accessibility standards and methodology
- Works with the Director of Accessibility to define enterprise Accessibility strategy
- Provides accessibility leadership within digital applications from concept to launch
- Advocates for the disabled customer experience within the organization
- Trains Designers and Developers on proper standards
- Works closely with the UI/UX and developments teams to support standards, define application interactions, and perform usability testing
- Works within cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables
- Documents, communicates and presents design ideas to fellow team members, stakeholders, executives, and clients
- Leads brainstorming sessions, and design/development reviews to help solve problems
- Fully engaged and positive member of a collaborative team
- Mentors other Accessibility designers
- Manages multiple priorities and project timelines
- Ensures the health of the product, feature, and relationships with clients
- Delegates tasks, provide feedback and critique
 
Required
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment, providing structure in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work getting direction from several leaders.
- Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and interactions
- Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- At least 4-6 years’ experience in digital Accessibility testing and remediation.
- Strong understanding of the major Accessibility Technologies, such as:
a. JAWS
b. NVDA
c. ZoomText
d. Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Thorough knowledge of Universal Design Principles
- Strong understanding of front-end development languages, such as:
a. HTML
b. CSS
c. JavaScript
- Strong understanding of JavaScript frameworks, such as:
a. Angular
b. Vue
c. React
 
Preferred
International Association of Accessibility Professionals Certifications:
a. CPACC – Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies
b. WAS – Web Accessibility Specialist
c. CPWA – Certified Professional in Web Accessibility
Accessibility Technology Specific Certifications such as:
a. JAWS / ZoomText Certification
b. NVDA Certified Expert
 
Education
Bachelors degree in Design / HCI / Related Field, or equivalent real world experience.

Salary Range: $100000 - $150000
