**Initial Term:** 1 year (until September 30, 2026)

**Extensions:** Up to two (2) optional one-year extensions

**Work Hours**: Minimum 7 hours/day

**Work Location:** Primarily **Remote**, with occasional **onsite** support in **Edmonton, Alberta** (On his / her Own expenses)

The successful **Automated Application Tester** will be responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and **automated test scripts**
- Performing **automated application testing** on Learn Alberta and associated platforms

**Conducting multiple testing phases:**

- Functional
- System
- Integration
- Regression
- UAT
- Mobile (iOS/Android)
- Cross-browser
- **Accessibility (WCAG 2.0)**
- Validating **requirements, user stories, and UI/UX designs**
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking **software defects**
- Managing test data and **defect backlogs**
- Producing **status and progress reports** as required

**Mandatory Qualifications (Must-Have):**

- **5+ years** of dedicated **application testing experience** within the past 7 years
- **1+ year** experience writing and executing **automated UI and API tests**

**Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):**

- Prior experience on **Agile projects** as a **dedicated automated tester**
- Proficiency with **modern testing frameworks** (e.g., **Cypress.io** or equivalent)
- Experience with **cross-platform**, **mobile**, and **accessibility (WCAG 2.0)** testing
- Background in testing **large-scale, web-based educational platforms**
