What’s the role?


As our Senior Accessibility Specialist you will champion accessibility best practices by acting as a subject matter expert for our company and clients. You will have a strong background in accessibility development, testing and remediation, as well as verifying compliance to accessibility standards. If you are passionate about accessibility, compliance and making technology accessible to all we encourage you to apply.


What will you do?


Audit digital assets for accessibility, create accessible code snippets and report bugs and recommendations in project management systems
Attend client audit review calls and regularly occurring internal and client-facing video calls
Speak at conferences (virtual or on-site)
Build & present training modules and provide accessibility consulting and training (virtual or on-site), while acting as a mentor to junior accessibility experts
Support project managers and sales teams with technical calls and help complete sales support estimates for the sales team
Stay up to date with best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508, and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Stay up to date on current trends in digital accessibility technology and legal landscape
Maintain International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) certification/s

Proven strong experience in the digital accessibility compliance field
Strong knowledge of The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508 and European Union (EU) standards
Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP)
Screen reader basic functionality (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA & Talkback)
Web development background
Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Tools (PDF)


It would also be a plus if you had:


Quality Assurance (QA) processes experience
Certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP)
Knowledge of agile project management methodologies
Familiarity with Jira management software
