About the Role:

Prismire is seeking a skilled and detail-driven PDF Accessibility Tester with 3+ years of hands-on experience to ensure our digital content is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. You’ll be responsible for evaluating and remediating PDF documents to meet WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.2, PDF/UA, and Section 508 compliance standards. Your work will help us promote inclusive access across all our digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Test and validate PDF documents for accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.2, PDF/UA, and Section 508.
Use tools such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, PAC 2021, and screen readers like JAWS or NVDA to identify accessibility issues.
Check document structure for correct tagging, logical reading order, alt text, form field labeling, contrast, and navigability.
Provide clear documentation of issues and actionable remediation guidance.
Collaborate with teams to support remediation efforts and ensure standards are upheld.
Stay current on evolving accessibility laws, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in PDF accessibility testing and remediation.
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.2, Section 508, and PDF/UA.
Proficiency in tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, CommonLook, axesPDF, and screen readers.
Experience validating accessible documents and forms.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Attention to detail with a passion for digital inclusivity.

Preferred:

Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or equivalent).
Familiarity with accessible document creation tools like Word, PowerPoint, and InDesign.
Basic knowledge of HTML and ARIA for broader accessibility understanding.
