What team and role will you be joining?
Clover’s product team is responsible for moving new products and enhancements through the execution lifecycle. The team is focused on defining product strategy and positioning to drive the product’s shape and implementation.
As a Core Framework product manager focused on A11Y at Clover, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of accessibility requirements for applicable Clover products. This role will provide accessibility subject matter expertise and Section 508 guidance to cross-functional hardware, software and web teams by creating, supporting, monitoring, and modifying processes and procedures which keep Clover products (including consumer and merchant facing interfaces, communications, software, and hardware) compliant with various statues, mandates, and legislative acts in multiple regions (US, EU, Latin America and Asia).
We are looking for an expert at cross-functional alignment and will bring in regional subject matter experts, core product managers, regional product managers, designers, engineers, and business operations to understand what it takes to meet and adhere to A11Y compliance standards. You will drive the end-to-end management of each effort and be responsible for communicating progress and key milestones to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in the development and implementation of accessibility requirements
Lead and collaborate with product management, design, development, and QA to define accessibility requirements and acceptance criteria
Define hardware accessibility requirements and functionalities, outline user impact and provide input on level of effort to meet requirements
Guide and participate in planning, design, code and functional product reviews related to accessibility
Contribute to the development and integration of accessibility design, development and testing methodologies
Identify and help implement viable product accessibility test strategies and tooling in order to document conformance with standards
Oversee testing and validating accessibility solutions, using automated/manual tools as well as assistive technologies, to help improve the user experience for persons with disabilities
Conduct product reviews and represents accessibility user acceptance
Provide input to product teams and customer support to ensure inclusion of accessibility in support systems and product documentation
Oversee training and education of internal staff in multiple business and technical roles, on the importance of accessibility, accessibility best practices, etc.
Coordinate with third-party partners, accessibility consultants and accessible technology providers as needed
Document and maintain all necessary objective evidence related to accessibility (e.g., best practices, testing, code, design) and drive continuous improvement
Conduct or oversee accessibility audits (e.g., hardware, software, website)
Provide input to management on overall digital accessibility program needs
Work with regulatory team to create/foster relationships with accessibility regulators and standard developers
Evangelize Clover’s values and products across the team, Fiserv, and sales channels
Be part of an agile cross-functional product, engineering and QE team to create a best-in-class products and product experiences


Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in digital accessibility
5+ years in a product management role
BA/BS degree required
Comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Infectious interest and understanding of accessibility best practices and trends related to merchant point of sale and web tools
Subject matter expert as it relates to US and EU accessibility standards and regulations like WCAG 2.0 & 2.1, Section 508 amendment of the US Workforce Rehabilitation Act
Testing experience with assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, switch devices, etc.
Expertise in accessibility test plan creation, user story inputs, writing effective test cases and user-focused acceptance criteria
Proven ability to train and educate highly technical as well as business roles in accessibility best practices and topics
Comfort presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Proven track record of using data to influence requirements, design and implementation
Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
Excellent organizational, analytical and influencing skills

Bonus Point Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with GDPR, PCI Security Standards, HIPAA Compliance, and other data security regulations as they may arise and impact credit card processing
