Fidelity’s Personal Investing organization is looking for an experienced Digital Accessibility practitioner to support Fidelity’s digital brokerage experiences.

In this role, you will help us shape Fidelity’s inclusive design and UX accessibility strategy and practice to better serve the millions of customers who use our digital experiences with assistive technologies daily.

In this role you will:

Conduct accessibility assessments of web and mobile app experiences

Work with developers and designers to address accessibility defects (found by you, other fidelity accessibility experts, or third parties)

Contribute to accessibility specifications, documentation, and development for the Fidelity Design System (including style guide and web components)

Perform accessibility training for developers, test engineers and other stakeholders

Evaluate and work with content from third party vendors

Participate in user studies and evaluate accessibility feedback from Fidelity customers with disabilities

Develop innovative ways for communicating complex data in a clear, concise and

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Accessibility - or in UX, User Research, Content, Front-end Development fields with a strong focus on Accessibility

Expertise in WCAG, WAI-ARIA, HTML5, CSS3, Web standards, inclusive design principles, and UX design standards for web. Experience with iOS, and Android is a plus

Expertise in “shifting Accessibility left” and scaling Accessibility as a practice across an enterprise

Deep understanding of how people with disabilities use assistive technologies

Experience using assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, TalkBack, ZoomText, and Dragon Naturally Speaking for evaluating experiences

Expertise with building accessibility into an enterprise design system

Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as FIGMA (preferred), Sketch, Invision, etc.

Ability to code accessible prototypes for user testing a plus

Ability to handle multiple concurrent initiatives and adapt to their changing needs

Creativity and a willingness to question how we can do things better

IAAP WAS certifications, CPWA certification preferred

The Team

As a senior member of the PI Digital accessibility team, you will be responsible for Enterprise Design Strategy & Standards. You will help make Fidelity’s digital experiences more accessible and usable for millions of Fidelity customers which include individual investors and their families, business owners, administrators, and financial professionals. You will also work with Content, User Research, Development, Testing, and Accessibility partners across Fidelity on a common, firm-wide approach to achieving Accessibility at scale. Whether it’s helping to define Accessibility and UX standards for Fidelity’s web and mobile design systems, evolve our processes, improve our design toolkits, grow our Accessibility champions network, consulting with teams, supporting remediation efforts, and responding to client feedback – this is a phenomenally chance to create a huge impact and build an industry leading accessibility program!
