Job description:
Test web and mobile applications with Assistive Technology (WAVE, ANDI, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
Test application code for compliance using WAVE and developer tools.
Consult with application teams to be ADA compliant.
PDF and MS Word document remediation for ADA compliance.
Understands the business problem statement, user stories, and technical constraints
Participate in planning, retrospectives, demos and daily stand-ups.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
Ensure ADA Compliance according to WCAG 2.1
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains compliance with all ADA guidelines and WCAG 2.1 requirements, accomplishing all organizational quality and design standards.
• Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the appropriate testing and integration environments.
• Utilizes automated testing capabilities to ensure accessibility regression tests are completed for each test iteration
• Building an understanding of all the supported systems and programs.
• Liaise with client and third-party test teams and other project teams to ensure that their team supports the overall objectives of the project or service.
• Tracks readiness activities ahead of testing stage gates, progress against plan and works with all parties to mitigate any issues.
• Review and validation of detailed test plans in alignment with project testing strategy.
• Monitor progress to meet milestones and estimates.
• Chair or provide a significant contribution to test readiness reviews.
• Provide regular reports on progress; this will be on test readiness, execution and/or defects status across all parties.
• Identify and implement improvements to the test activities and process.
• Participate in code reviews.
• May assist with training of other developers.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support system applications.
Required Skills:
Must have minimum of 8+ years ADA, Section 508 and WCAG Experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience, Master’s degree and 5 years of related experience, or a minimum 8 years of work experience in the IT industry in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 6 years of experience with web and mobile application testing
Minimum of 6 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat documents
Minimum of 6 years of experience with Adobe Acrobat read only and fillable electronic forms, as well as forms in other electronic formats
Minimum of 6 years of experience with Alternative formats to electronic documents, including accessible electronic text, HTML, Audio, Braille, Large Print, and other alternative formats
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365""
