In this role, you will support the Accessibility Program Lead in establishing and managing accessibility efforts across products and technology. Using your accessibility experience, you will help to draw business insights that will inform the design and development of accessibility technology tools and processes. You will utilize your analytical, organizational, and communication skills to promote the success of the team and initiatives in inclusive design and accessibility.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success, as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing business and client needs including:

Providing digital accessibility expertise to assist the team in accessibility requests with product teams;
Conducting automated and manual accessibility assessments of new and existing products;
Engaging with key stakeholders to drive accessibility program maturity;
Assisting product and technology teams with understanding how WCAG and accessibility activities fit within the project life cycle;
Collaborating with the technology team on research, requirements, design and testing of accessibility solutions;
Contributing to program priorities towards accessibility related learning, workshops etc.;
Demonstrating knowledge of digital accessibility and inclusion including digital accessibility regulations & Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA requirements. (e.g., Section 508, ADA);
Utilizing web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WAI ARIA) and desktop and mobile assistive technologies;
Understanding of code and accessibility inspection & evaluation tools;
Reviewing your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance;
Seeking and embracing opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives;
Demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems;
Reviewing engagement timelines and providing status updates and reports;
Demonstrating proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment with competing priorities;
Preparing for team and stakeholder interactions by anticipating others’ needs and tailoring Accessibility consultations appropriately; and,
Bringing a depth of development and technical knowledge that complements and strengthens a culture beginning to apply accessibility practices in research, design, engineering and QA.
