Technical Product Manager, Accessibility

Indeed

Austin, TX,US

This job is expired.

We believe that anyone who wants a job should be able to find that job on Indeed. Making this vision a reality requires that all Indeed’s products comply with the WCAG accessibility standards. We need a talented Technical Product Manager to lead our efforts to provide Indeed’s product teams with the tools and data needed to efficiently ensure the accessibility of their products.

You’ll work closely with Indeed’s product teams to design solutions, unblock adoption, and influence the development practices of other teams at Indeed. You, not the VP of Product or the CEO, will decide what the future of your product is and what your team should work on. However, you may not have direct authority over your teammates (such as software engineers and solutions architects), so you will have to influence others to follow your vision.

You will be empowered to set ambitious goals for your product and team. Your goals will not be easy to achieve; they should inspire and motivate the team to think big. You will not be compensated based on whether you meet the goal, but based on whether you deliver significant impact and meet or exceed the expectations of a good Product Manager.

You will work closely with your development team on a daily basis. You will define requirements, analyze data, and propose solutions with their input. You will constantly create hypotheses for improving your product, test them, and learn from the results. Our product development philosophy is similar to the Lean Startup philosophy. You will create MVPs, prototypes, simple tests to validate ideas and iterate. You will NOT be an armchair Product Manager writing large PRDs and handing them off to the development team.

You will wear many hats and constantly learn new things on the job. You will be surrounded by smart, dedicated, nice people. You will be proud of the company"s mission and your product"s impact.
