Our Engineering Team is looking for an Accessibility Program Manager to oversee the development of our slick, edgy, mouthwatering Instructure products. This person needs to be ready to work in a fast-paced environment where a lot of growth is taking place on many aspects. You will be the leader in ensuring our products are designed and built with all of our users in mind and you will have a strong working knowledge of the standards to get us there.
What you will be doing:

"Consultative" technical sales support by providing prospective customers with the technical and process information required to convey the depth and benefits of our Section 508 / WCAG accessibility assessment and remediation services.
Developing and delivering written and oral proposals for accessibility assessment and remediation services.
Overseeing, assisting, and training our accessibility test team and overall engineering team.
Establishing policies & procedures.
Managing VPAT and 508 compliance in the SDLC.
Helping to perform compliance testing on Web and Software Applications based upon Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.
Using Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software (NVDA, JAWS), and Accessibility test tools.
Writing and documenting identified issues and recommending potential solutions and best practices for remediation of accessibility violations.
Preparing and conducting training on accessibility-related topics.
Partnering with our Accessibility Council to collect and include customer feedback and needs in the process.

Here is what you will need to know/have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In depth knowledge of Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 requirements for IT software and hardware.
Knowledge of HTML semantics/tagging, Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), hyperlink integrity, and remediation of Section 508 accessibility issues.
Experience working effectively with several clients and project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
