Meeting the current and future Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act is a key component in our mission to drive a best-in-class customer experience for our external digital assets. The Accessibility Manager will be responsible for the continued advancement of accessibility in alignment with our Enterprise Standard to multiple businesses within the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving adoption of Prudential’s ADA/WCAG Enterprise Standard
As a champion of change, ensure the ADA/WCAG scope is well understood and partnered teams are following best practices
Provide ADA guidance, direction, and support on new and existing digital content
Coordination with testing teams, technology teams, 3rd parties, and others that assist with remediation
Partner to build testing strategies/plans to ensure remediation is on time
Will be responsible for both design and development
WCAG 2.1
Must be accessibility oriented
Accessibility subject matter expert
There will be no employees under them, but they will be managing their own tasks.
Performing both design and development
Manager would be able to answer questions, but they must be self-starters.
Must have coding experience
ARIA
Accessibility tech such as Jaws, NVDA, ARIA
Dragon is a plus
Keyboard oriented
Having certifications are nice to have. Ex. IAAP certified would be nice to have.
Strong communication and ability to speak to everyone from top leadership to new employees
This role requires visual experience, must be a visual user.
Ability to be able to do Visual inspections and design reviews.
Focused on all different types of business
Must communicate how to do something in a positive and clear way.
Day to day talking to designers and developers and helping them identify issues.
