We are looking for a Business UAT Automation Tester to support UAT testing for web pages. This individual is responsible for verifying adherence to the W3C WCAG 2.1 standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related laws. As a tester, this individual will execute tests daily and serve as a subject matter expert for the broader team. In addition to testing, this individual will assist with test automation, documentation, training, and collaborating with our partners. A successful candidate will be passionate about accessibility in the digital space, work independently, and have strong communication skills. They will display a broad knowledge of accessibility barriers, along with tools and techniques for overcoming them. Knowledge of current accessibility standards, and ability to test against them, is a must.
The Business UAT Automation Tester responsibilities and previous experience will include:
BS degree or equivalent experience
3+ Years of hand on experience in functional testing of Banking Domain applications
3+ years of QA/UAT experience in agile methodology with use of JIRA.
Proven experience driving accessibility in digital, customer-facing programs
Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1, ADA, Section 508, and the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act
Conduct in-depth WCAG compliance assessments via manual, automated test tools and assistive technologies
Review WCAG compliance defects with developers and discuss possible resolutions
Able to assist project teams with understanding how accessibility activities fit within the project life cycle
Good understanding of Web content and mobile accessibility standards and Laws
Thorough understanding of W3C standards-compliant HTML,CSS and JavaScript
Good understanding of anyone scripting language along with OOPS
3+ Years of experience in Selenium + Java & Cucumber
3+ years of experience in handling web elements locator
Proficient in creating & using xpath & css locators.
Hands on experience in writing BDD test scenarios
Hands on experience in different testing methodologies
Strong understanding & work experience in automation framework
Strong experience in script / code debugging
Strong hands on experience in handling defect life cycle
Tools Knowledge required:
Screen reader testing tools(JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover)
Automated testing tool(AXE)
WCAG 2.1 guidelines
