Responsibilities:
Define and develop technology strategies that ensure robust processes, maintain consistent accessibility standards, and facilitate rapid growth in line with the overall goals of the business
Ensure adherence to policies and workflows so that technology is used efficiently, securely, and profitably and is accessible to all users
Collaborate with users during the testing of internal and customer technology in order to gather feedback on usability improvements in areas of cognition, ambulation, hearing, and/or vision
Help research, evaluate and identify new systems, software, and technologies that could offer the company a competitive advantage and maximize its product offerings
Help build robust quality assurance processes and workflows
Stay current with changes to Section 508 and WCAG as well as trends in accessibility
Utilize stakeholder feedback to drive improvements and adjust technology, as needed
Conduct internal and customer-facing accessibility training and consulting at all levels
Help supervise the on-boarding and training of technical staff and other teammates
Communicate with clients, stakeholders, contractors and partners during all post-sales stages of the audit and support processes
Collaborate with Sales team as needed to provide support and guidance
Status reporting
Work independently or with others to assess web pages, applications and documents (i.e., PDF) for conformance to established web accessibility standards (in particular Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA)
Use screen readers in various browsers and on various device emulators to test the accessibility and usability of websites and digital products
Apply principles of universal design, including knowledge of how other assistive technology interacts with systems, during testing to ensure all violations are identified that would create barriers to equal access
Develop detailed reports explaining accessibility defects identified through an audit and suggest remediation methods/techniques




Requirements:
IAAP CPACC certification
IAAP WAS certification
Must be willing to perform Web Accessibility Audits using assistive and automated technologies. This may include using: JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Accessibility Checker
Must be willing to perform Accessibility Audits on mobile, software, and applications
Must be willing to perform Accessibility Audits against Digital Documents (e.g., PDF, Word, etc…)
Must be willing to understand and follow Section 508 and Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines and specifications–W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 A/AA/AAA), Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), User Agent Accessibility Guidelines (UAAG), and Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG)
Must be interested in making a difference in the lives of millions around the world by providing access to information through digital products
Must be willing to learn daily, fail often (and own it!), ask questions, and continuously strive for improvement
Must have some development experience in coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Must have experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must have experience in Adobe Tools (PDF)
Prefer some experience in using G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive…)
Prefer some experience in developing technical documentation
Some experience in UI Accessibility testing

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to client locations primarily in the US

This is a full-time, senior level position with opportunity for advancement and will report to the CTO. Salary is commensurate with experience.
