The Senior Accessibility Compliance Program Manager plays a critical role in protecting Microsoft’s“license to operate”by ensuring accessibility compliance requirements are met across products and services. Accessibility standards and regulations function as market access controls in some jurisdictions, and failure to meet them can result in legal, commercial, and reputational risk to the company.

This position focuses on operational delivery, cross-team coordination, and technical excellence, ensuring accessibility compliance work is executed consistently,correctly, and at scale across Microsoft products and services. The TPM partners closely with accessibility engineering, legal, corporate standards, and product teams to reduce compliance risk and improve accessibility outcomes for our customers.

Responsibilities

Accessibility Compliance Program Execution

* Drive execution of accessibility compliance programs across Microsoft products, services, websites, and internal tools, ensuring alignment with established governance models and legal guidance.
* Advise on prioritization of accessibility issues and remediation work based on risk, impact, and regulatory requirements.
* Support creation of accessibility assessments, remediation tracking, and documentation (for example ACRs and VPATs).

Standards Development and Implementation

* Support internal readiness efforts by translating accessibility standards into practical guidance for engineering and program teams.
* Partner with internal standards subject matter experts to track and communicate impacts of evolving accessibility standards such as WCAG and EN 301 549 on Microsoft products and services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Act as a program-level point of contact for accessibility compliance questions,both programmatic and technical.
* Partner closely with accessibility engineering, product management, legal, procurement, and corporate standards teams to ensure compliance work is well integrated into product development lifecycles.

Qualifications

Required Qualification

* Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
* 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
* 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
* Working knowledge of accessibility standards(e.g., WCAG, EN 301 549).
* Experience supporting accessibility compliance for large-scale products or services.
* Exposure to accessibility standards development or standards body participation, directly or through partnership with corporate standards teams.
* Experience working with legal, risk, or compliance stakeholders on regulated topics.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
