The opportunity:
OpenText is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst for the Center of Excellence within the IT organization to help support our Web Development team . This individual will take charge of a project and deliver results that will make the organization more profitable. Can work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves corporate processes. To be successful, the senior business systems analyst’s focus will be on process design, process reengineering, business requirements, gap analysis, data flows and provide internal ticket triage support for the business.


What you are great at:

The successful candidate will be part of the COE team and have the following responsibilities:
Work closely with broad user groups to coordinate and complete Operational Excellence activities to support sponsored projects and enhancements by
Documenting and developing current & Future state process flows
Determine and document business requirements for business processes and ensure they don’t conflict with the requirements for future projects
Preparing Gap Analysis
Participate in the discussions of the functional spec & technical design
Coordinate the IT executive & business review of the proposed design & obtain sign off
Develop comprehensive E2E test cases and steps that will be loaded into HPALM, Manage & triage defects assigned during testing
Prepare user training documentation for new functionality if required
Provide support to business users on systems issues, escalating to IT development/technical team as appropriate
Use active listening and discussion skills to identify issues, ensure understanding and facilitate problem-solving
Act as communication liaison between IT team and other pillars and functional areas.
Experience with content management systems, “Front-end” web development (HTML/CSS/JS)
Has experience auditing websites and web applications for accessibility issues


What it takes to excel:


The successful candidate will have the following Core Requirements:

Master’s degree in library science or similar (user experience design, usability, interaction design, information architecture, information science)
IAAP-certifications: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) / Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
Knows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
BA certified or equivalent experience
Strong experience in user testing and project management
Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple tasks, both as part of a team and independently with attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in production support is an asset
A high standard for work ethic and quality is required
