The Reality Labs (RL) Product Accessibility Program Manager will be responsible for building and running Accessibility Pilot Programs for RL. This person will serve as connective tissue between central teams, legal teams, and product teams to ensure we are delivering products that meet and exceed Accessibility standards.


Product Accessibility Program Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities:

Identify and gain leadership alignment on top priorities and opportunities to drive accessibility across Reality Labs products.
Create and implement organizational processes and programs that drive accessibility into the product development lifecycle/roadmaps across the Reality Labs organization.
Implement and adjust programs and processes to drive and measure impact and ensure consistency in how accessibility is addressed across products.
Validate program goals, objectives, and impact to ensure high-quality accessible product experiences are being delivered, and meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements through the use of internal and external experts and other appropriate means.
Identify, measure, and report on accessibility experience gaps.
Collaborate with functions across product teams (research, PMs, and TPMs) to implement accessibility related feedback in RL products.
Continuously gather input and feedback on the effectiveness of Product Accessibility efforts in RL.
Synthesize learnings and provide status and updates to RL leadership and a wide range of stakeholders on the current half, year, and multi-year product accessibility objectives.
Cultivate and support accessibility champions across each product group.
Identify areas of improvement in the current product development process with regards to Accessibility and develop processes or identify tools that will solve and scale across a product group.
Select, manage, and engage teams with third-party tools and vendors that will aid Product Team members in their understanding of accessible technology and innovation.
Collaborate with the central Meta and RL accessibility subject matter experts to modify and implement accessibility tools, training, frameworks and best practices needed for RL products.
Help teams prioritize accessibility features across software experiences, hardware products, components, and packaging.
Assist RL Product Legal, Compliance, and marketing teams in gathering information to accurately report on RL's accessibility efforts. Organize and maintain a centralized repository of accessibility features across product groups.
Share best practices, and publish reporting/metrics to help teams deliver on these goals.




Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with product development processes within the technology landscape.
Demonstrated capacity for strategic problem solving, anticipating future challenges and solving them proactively.
Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience reconciling differing viewpoints and present compelling, defensible objectives and narratives that can influence decisions of business leaders.
Experience working collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership.
5+ years of experience in Program Management, Technical Program Management, or Product Management in Consumer Hardware and/or Software products.
Experience developing and tracking timelines and milestones for multiple projects at a time.
Experience scoping and prioritizing goals, aligning with existing priorities, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with clear accountability models.
3+ years of experience working in accessibility design, consulting, compliance, or advocacy.




Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using assistive technology, such as screen readers, magnification software, switch control devices, voice-control, head tracking and eye-controls systems, text to speech, etc.
Advanced knowledge of accessibility standards, guidelines, and requirements such as WCAG, CVAA, Section 508, and EN 301 549.
