Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research, and administrative processes by providing information- and technology-related services to over 50,000 staff and students of UCL and associated institutions.

The Digital Accessibility Support Officers underpin UCL’s digital accessibility services. The balance of activities will vary from postholder to postholder, but all will spend some time on each of the following: testing and auditing digital content and platforms, providing practical IT support and guidance for disabled staff and students through the Digital Accessibility Hub, creating guidance and online materials, and delivering outreach and training activities.
Key Requirements
We are looking for an assistive technologist confident in a range of accessibility practices and assistive technologies. The post holder will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Conducting accessibility audits of digital systems and services

Advising on best practice in making digital systems and content accessible

Finding solutions to address barriers using specialist software and assistive technologies

Delivering training events and resources to build staff and student confidence in digital accessibility and assistive technologies

Awareness of national digital accessibility guidance

We are operating hybrid working and you will have the opportunity to work remotely for up to 3 days a week if you wish.
