oin the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), currently recruiting for Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) positions to join the Office of Equity on behalf of CARE Office.
This position (Digital Accessibility Consultant) works with Department staff, and some outside vendors, to ensure they create digital content (documents, multimedia, forms) which meet state and federal standards for digital accessibility. Previous knowledge of and experience working with digital accessibility is preferred, however, is not required. This position spends a good amount of time working directly with students to ensure they become proficient in creating documents which meet accessibility standards. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel are required. Experience working with Adobe Acrobat pro is preferred.

In addition to meeting one-on-one (remotely) with staff members, this position will also, from time to time, lead online meetings for small or large groups discussing the requirements of digital accessibility and how to implement these requirements. This is a fun and fast paced environment, and due to the nature of the accessibility skills involved, it is never dull and learning is ongoing.

This position is eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position under Government Code 142000 for eligible applicants residing in California only.
Salary: $5684 - $7114/mo.
