Role: Accessibility Test Lead
Location : San Jose ,CA
Duration : 6+ months
Experience: 8+ years


3+ years of experience Leading accessibility testing and validation efforts and working closely with multiple Development and Product Management teams
Experience with working in multiple projects, effort estimation and capacity planning
Provide ongoing technical direction and mentoring to QA teams and resource
Experience in working with Product Owners and Development Leads to triage bugs and manage the bug backlog.
Lead the QA Teams to formulate, communicate and ensure adoption of Accessibility best practices
Works with concerned stakeholders to define and assign tasks, establish and maintain task/project schedules, and maintain liaison between appropriate project team members to ensure clear and effective communication and coordination of all project delivery efforts
5 to 6 years of experience in Accessibility testing of Enterprise Web applications
5 to 6 years of experience in validating web application for WCAG 2.0 Level A, AA and AAA compliance
5 to 6 years of experience in working with assistive technology for accessibility testing (e.g. JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (OSX & iOS), and Android Talkback)
Strong understanding of global accessibility laws and standards such as WCAG 2.0, Section 508, ADA
Experience in testing Mobile apps for accessibility is a plus
Experience in creating test strategy and test plans
Experience in creating documents and writing good bug reports
Knowledge of correct use and limitations of WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) in web application development
Understanding of compatibility with various platforms and limitations of use
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and iOS/Android development best practices (Does not need to be a developer but should be able to research and recommend solutions in these various technologies in collaboration with developers)
Thorough, methodical, and creative with extreme attention to detail
Expert at time management and able to work with minimal supervision
Experience providing accessibility strategy consulting to teams and understanding of the different roles and responsibilities across the disciplines of software development
Passion for improving web applications for disabled users
Empathy for people with disabilities and an understanding of the different perspectives and needs of people
Talent for building relationships and trust within teams who have been resistant to accessibility in the past is a plus
