Salary: Clerk 9/10, $120,859- $133,183 plus employers? contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading


Your role


Help shape the future of accessibility at the Department of Communities and Justice! As the Senior Accessibility Officer, you ll be working in a team of digital specialists that drive all aspects of product design to deliver customer centric DCJ websites and intranet, and exceptional value to the citizens of NSW.


What You Ll Do


The Senior Digital Accessibility Officer will be responsible for driving a culture of accessibility and online inclusion at the Department. They ll work to provide day to day support for staff looking to improve the accessibility of their communications, and technical expertise on creating and testing accessible information.


They role will work closely with accessibility guidelines and spotlight the voice of edge users to ensure that product teams make digital content and services that can be used by everyone. They ll drive inclusive initiatives through policy and system change, and champion the Department s strategic objectives to become a global leader in accessibility.


The position sits within the Accessibility and UX team, part of the Digital Experience Unit. The culture is supportive, friendly, and passionate about universal design and digital inclusion.


What We Re Looking For


Deep relevant experience working with digital accessibility
Detailed knowledge of relevant accessibility guidelines, assistive technologies, testing techniques and theoretical skills
Experience working as part of a large complex organisation, ideally with Government experience.
