As an Accessibility Lead or Consultant, you’ll be responsible for providing expertise, guidance and consultation to product and project teams company-wide for accessibility and inclusive design according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for websites, applications and software. You’ll use your extensive accessibility knowledge and expertise to test, solve, and consult on accessibility issues and regulatory requirements at all stages of the product lifecycle with product development teams. You’ll provide training and organizational process improvement support to help teams mature their accessibility and inclusive design capabilities.
Must-have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and a minimum of 4 years related work experience.
In lieu of degree, a minimum of 6 years of related work experience and CPACC, CUA, CXA, or WAS certification.
Preferred Skills
Experience using accessibility testing tools (WAVE, Axe, Chrome DevTools) and assistive technologies, such as screen readers (JAWs, NVDA, VoiceOver)
Knowledge of front-end development tools, including semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA
Familiarity with WCAG and US disability laws and experience with User Experience Services in testing, development or audit of WCAG or related compliance
Proven problem solving, influencing and communication skills
Ability to work closely with IT professionals to iterate through fixes and new solutions by evaluating code and providing accessible recommendations for fixing compliance issues
