Our Fortune 75 MSO client, Charter Communications is investing in the accessibility of their agent facing portal. Charter employs 12,000 agents to their call centers annually, and the goal is to get the platform to AA accessible, so they have the opportunity to employ a more diverse talent pool to support their call centers. They’re looking to bring on a strong UX designer to be an accessibility SME within this team as they go through the creation of user journeys, and flow. This team is a strong blend of UX and UI, and consider themselves “experience engineers”.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and ideate inclusive solutions and create contextual accessibility
• Collaborate with UX Research to successfully incorporate findings from inclusive user testing and/or usability studies into UI/UX patterns, bug reports, and product launches
• Review designs, mockups, and prototypes throughout the product development cycle to increase quality and accessibility compliance
• Define and deliver high level accessibility specs and annotations
• Leveraging industry standards, such as WCAG, create inclusive UI/UX components and patterns
• Close knowledge gaps and increase technical expertise within UX research and design teams
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering to address accessibility gaps
• Mentor UX designers and empower design teams to build inclusive end-to-end user experiences

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional experience in user experience and digital design
• Experience in the inclusive design or accessibility space, or with design language systems
• Proficiency designing across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, Mobile Web)
• Understanding of how different assistive technologies (like screen readers or speech recognition software) behave, and how users of assistive technology may be impacted by different design choices
• Ability to translate technical accessibility guidelines into practical UX solutions
• Ability to deal with ambiguous environments, including adapting to new challenges, scenarios, and working styles
• Ability to understand, give feedback, and resolve product issues related to accessibility and willingness to utilize project management tools (e.g. Jira)
• Amazing communication skills

Salary Range: $105 - $125
