Sr Accessibility Specialist

As a Sr. Accessibility Specialist, you will work closely with both on-site and remote users to provide front line user-facing support to personnel needing accessibility tool assistance.

Front line user support for Accessibility Tools and Projects (such as Unclassified Webcams)
Provide client support for all client service report requests to include maintenance and troubleshooting
Development of user support guidelines and documentation
Perform initial remediation and/or coordination for IT Accessibility issues.
Provide accessibility support to NGA's Internal Helpdesk
Be familiar with NGA's IT Architecture, Policies, Procedures, and processes and ensure IT Accessibility is integrated into the procurement, development maintenance and use of ICT
Collaborate with UDS personnel to ensure the establishment of a framework for IT Accessibility.
Create and maintain documentation for all troubleshooting procedures for all accessibility tools and software to aid in remediation
Open service request tickets using Service + and ensure that client support tickets concerning IT Accessibility and/or reasonable accommodations are resolved
Assist Reasonable Accommodations in navigating CIO-T service processes
Work with CIO-T personnel to ensure more efficient processes and resolution of reasonable accommodation and/or IT Accessibility requests
Provide guidance on IT Accessibility law, policy, and best practices as necessary.


The Sr Accessibility Specialist is instrumental in providing comprehensive assistance to personnel with disabilities and expertise in IT tools such as Majic and ZoomText.

Note: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire
UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift/move/carry equipment as necessary (max 40 pounds)

Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Desired Skills:

Experience with Remedy, Service + and other ticket tracking systems
Some experience with machine learning and captioning software
Some experience with knowledge or video relay systems
Experience with Accessibility tools including but not limited to JAWS, ZoomText, and Majic
DODI 8570 certification
Experience documenting and remediating IT issues and processes
Broad experience with NGA's IT Architecture (in particular user facing services architecture, processes, and organizational structure)
General knowledge of Accessibility tools and software
Strong Passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
