HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $120 - $140 USD / HR

ESTIMATED DURATION: 40Hrs/Week - Long-term, ongoing project


Daily Duties

Work with a11y QA org lead to implement airQA / a11y QA processes across all sub teams
Assist a11y QA sub team leads around prioritization of testing efforts
Exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform practical application of computer systems analysis and software quality assurance testing
Analyze computer systems or programs and document test scenarios/plans which would validate expected system/software behavior
Construct and execute Manual tests through a Behavior-Driven-Development (BDD) approach with Cucumber syntax
Design QA framework & processes within a software development engineering team
Provide support across multiple projects to ensure high-quality software releases
Work to quickly become well-versed in the engineering teams product/domain space
Provide input on requirements from the perspective of an end-user subject matter expert
Produce qualitative and quantitative reporting to stakeholders including but not limited to: test coverage, test execution progress, bug counts, bug trends
Coordinate and collaborate with 3rd party vendors and QA counterparts
Ensure quality is consistent across all projects and is represented during project planning, development, and launches
Work closely & effectively with team members and key projects stakeholders, including research, design, product management, and engineering
Work closely with Engineering Stakeholders to support daily release efforts
Monitor/Audit Test Runs, with particular focus on failed runs; debugging findings, and ensuring bugs are captured completely and actionable to Engineering partners
Effectively manage schedule to regularly attend meetings and deliver on accountable work
Volunteer to take on initiatives and mitigation of issues which are ancillary to role & airQA
Accessibility Evangelism: Collaborate with design, product and engineering to help them efficiently reproduce and resolve a11y bugs
Drive Platform Compliance: Help ensure WCAG 2.0 guidelines are being met across all platforms through rigorous manual testing
Screen reader expertise with JAWS/NVDA, as well as Dragon, and built in accessibility tools on both Android andiOS
Experience with both web and mobile testing
Knowledge of user requirements for people with disabilities
10+ years of experience
