Accessibility Tester

The Accessibility Tester performs manual audits of Customer web pages. The Accessibility Tester partners with Siteimprove Accessibility Consultants and Trainers to ensure Customers’ needs are understood and that they are provided with thorough, accurate and useful documentation with audit findings. Customers will leverage a combination of the reporting from the Siteimprove tools and manual audit to work towards a more accessible website.

Understand and stay current with accessibility compliance guidelines (e.g. WCAG and Section 508)
Maintain technical and screen reader competency to complete manual accessibility tests
Collaborate with Customers to complete accurate Scopes of Work for manual accessibility testing projects
Work with Sales and contribute to the creation of offers and contracts
Utilize the Siteimprove product to uncover trends in accessibility compliance to provide a comprehensive analysis of Customer websites
Perform manual accessibility tests on individual pages in line with Siteimprove’s testing standards
Document results from the Siteimprove product and manual tests using Siteimprove’s audit form, which will be reviewed and approved by a Siteimprove Accessibility Consultant and Trainer
Collaborate with Customers to complete Corrective Action Plan or equivalent documentation
Present finalized Scope of Work, testing results and other documentation to the Customer
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and the internal accessibility knowledgebase
Facilitate allocation of resources as required and conduct basic administration reporting on educational services
Perform other duties as assigned

What We Require of You

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or related field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Valid Passport
Travel as needed; may include weekends

What We'll Love About You

Proficiency in web accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and Section 508
Experience performing manual accessibility tests
Experience using screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Talkback and others.
Native user of screen readers, keyboard navigation, dictation software, or other assistive technology
Self-starter with demonstrated record of acquiring knowledge beyond what is needed to complete assigned tasks
Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Experience in direct sales, project management and client communications
Understanding of HTML, CSS and other web technologies
Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment
