As an IT Manager of Accessibility you contribute to a growing line of business by supporting team members to establish and meet client, organizational, and team goals. Partner closely with our Diversification and Sales pipeline to create a collaborative environment to deliver accessibility services quickly and iteratively.
Responsibilities

•Optimize talent pool including hiring, resource planning, managing team workload, and budget management
•Focus on team performance. Coach, motivate, and professionally develop staff by designing, implementing, scheduling and tracking individualized training programs.
•Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
•Aware of industry trends and drives innovation within the domain
•Effectively builds relationship networks within and outside of Nelnet
•Represent and maximize opportunities for business and relationship development with clients
•Ability to communicate and represent Nelnet on calls and in meetings with clients.
•Responsible for the formulation and implementation of goals and plans as related to accessibility.
•Interfaces and consults with other managers within the organization to coordinate activities.
•Participates in project review, development, and implementation process.
•Review new and updated processes and produces as required.
•Provide management reporting.
•Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements.
•Establish and maintain client or vendor relationships as needed.
•Deliver product-based technical sales demonstrations.
•Coordinate RFP responses in conjunction with the development and sales teams.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.

EXPERIENCE:

3 to 8 years experience in software development industry.

3 to 8 years experience as a technical or development leader with a demonstrated ability of successful team leadership.

Universal and inclusive design principles.
Experience with digital accessibility.
Web and mobile assessment and remediation
Experience with screen readers and other assistive technology
Document assessment and remediation
Ability to consult, mentor, and train in the field of accessibility.
US Citizen with ability to obtain 6C Federal security clearance.
