Apple has an exciting opportunity for a talented technical and inclusive leader in the IS&T Accessibility Center for Excellence (CoE). The CoE was created with the purpose of promoting and supporting accessibility globally across Apple, partnering to embed accessibility into customer and employee facing digital services, apps and websites. This role requires self-drive, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and someone comfortable with being hands-on where required in a high paced environment.
Description
As a Senior Accessibility Lead and part of the CoE Leadership Team this role requires:

Experience of driving operational accessibility, strategy and implementation with a strong background in building relationships with cross functional teams.

A proven track record with managing, motivating and providing technical and expert guidance to a team of accessibility engineers.

Reviewing and advising on design, code and content for accessibility whilst partnering to influence engineering teams across the world.

Experience of technical accessibility and accessibility standards to drive remediation efforts and technical methodologies for accessibility testing.

Ability to develop scalable accessibility processes, tooling, training and strategic programs.
Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrable experience in hiring mentoring and managing the performance of staff.
Strong experience in front end engineering or designing and developing applications in Web, iOS or macOS.
Understanding of WCAG 2.x guidelines and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
Knowledge of accessibility features built into Apple products and other assistive technologies.
Ability to communicate and influence senior executives and stakeholders using excellent negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of other international accessibility standards and disability legislation.
Promotes a team environment that values, supports and encourages differences.
