Job summary
The Alexa Accessibility team's goal is to ensure that Alexa is accessible to customers of all abilities and bring specific value when it makes sense. Over the years, the team has design and developed key features for our customers, including Tap To Alexa (our touch interface to interact with Alexa), Alexa Captions and live Call Captioning or Show and Tell where low vision or blind users can ask Alexa on our Echo shows to identify an object by saying "Alexa, what am I holding?"

As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for directly managing a team of engineers, for ensuring that their work is delivered on time and at a high quality, and for making technical decisions from software architecture to operational excellence. You will ensure your features can scale to support Alexa in a variety of languages and across the wide range of devices on which Alexa is available.

MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Experience with application performance analysis and tuning
Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
Strong sense of ownership and bias for action
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
