About the Experience Tribe
Babylon operates a tribe and squad model. We have 5 ‘super tribes’, each of which focus on a different stage of the customer journey, with the exception of the platform team, the data team and us - the experience tribe.

We sit across all the tribes, helping coordinate front end build, design, research and content.
We ensure consistency and quality of design and code in two ways - by having a Design System that is a repository of our front end components and by ensuring design and code governance.

In addition to this we are focussed on the future of Babylon Health. We are creating new products using a new tech stack, and are working on creating a vision for the future of the app. We are also responsible for supporting other tribes with the web app, as well as looking after the core elements of the app such as the home page.

We rely on the following technologies:
Java to write our backend microservices
React Native, Redux and GraphQL for our mobile applications
Kotlin and Swift for our native mobile components.
Kafka for our asynchronous message queue
AWS for our infrastructure
Docker to run our services on Kubernetes
Terraform for our infrastructure provisioning and deployment
