Job Description:

A successful candidate will be passionate about accessibility in the digital space, with a broad knowledge of accessibility barriers and the tools and techniques for overcoming them. Experience working with developers, UX designers and expert knowledge of accessibility standards - WCAG 2.1, PDF/UA - is a must. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Identifying and suggesting potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on WCAG 2.1 standards and PDF/UA as well as compliance with other accessibility related laws
Applying accessibility knowledge to a wide range of the firm's digital properties, including mobile applications, and digital documents
Coaching developers and UX designers in one on one, small group, or large forum environments
Using data on accessibility issues within products to identify, report on and drive improvements to the product features
Communicate training needs and online resources
Conduct training through existing and new materials


A top priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm's regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
Advancing the firm's Roadmap programs - Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
Driving innovation across the firm's corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

Qualifications:

You: a self-starter with in-depth, hands-on experience creating and delivering digital and in-person training, with expertise in accessibility standards and how they are applied. Other things you should bring to the table:

Broad knowledge of accessibility barriers resulting from visual, hearing, cognitive, mobility disabilities or combination of multiple disabilities
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1
Ability to identify accessibility issues from wireframes and story boards
Knowledge of accepted accessibility patterns and best practices
Ability to analyze and employ problem-solving skills to recommend the best solution
Detailed knowledge accessibility issues across a broad range of technologies including but not limited to the following:
Windows and Mac OS
Mobile accessibility on Android and IOS
Word, PowerPoint, and other document standards
PDF and other document standards ( Nice to have but not required )
Practical experience testing for WCAG conformance using Assistive Technology including but not limited to the following:
Screen readers (ex: NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover)
Screen Magnifiers
Voice Input (Dragon, (other))
Working knowledge of technologies including but not limited to:
HTML5/CSS3
React/Angular ( Nice to have but not required )
Ability to analyze code for accessibility issues
Ability to guide and coach colleagues and clients in one on one, small group, or team sized forum environments
Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is a plus
