We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Program Specialist to develop, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide accessibility framework for websites and applications. This role requires strong project management skills, deep knowledge of global accessibility regulations, and hands-on experience driving compliance across large organizations. The ideal candidate will have a track record of long-term employment and the ability to lead initiatives that ensure inclusive, compliant, and user-friendly digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and other global standards.
Lead cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into website and application development processes.
Oversee accessibility projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
Conduct accessibility audits, gap analyses, and assessments to identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure compliance across the digital lifecycle.
Provide training, guidance, and resources to internal teams on accessibility standards.
Monitor, track, and report on accessibility compliance metrics and organizational progress.
Stay up to date with evolving regulations, technologies, and accessibility best practices.
Manage vendor or consultant relationships to support accessibility initiatives.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience developing and/or managing accessibility programs.
In-depth understanding of global accessibility regulations and digital compliance requirements.
Proven ability to strategize, plan, and execute accessibility initiatives across complex organizations.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
Ability to work independently, self-direct, and oversee end-to-end delivery.
Preferred Skills
Experience with the full lifecycle of website creation, including:
CMS tools (e.g., Adobe).
Tag management tools.
Website compliance requirements (Privacy Notice, Terms of Use, domain registration, secure site development).
Familiarity with digital marketing and brand governance requirements.
Experience supporting or managing large-scale accessibility programs across multiple sites (e.g., 4,000+).
