Job Description Summary: As a Product Designer at PayPal you will have an opportunity to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for a broad range of customers from small businesses to large enterprises, from shoppers to investors. You will work alongside your cross-functional team members to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible experience for our global customers. Our cross-functional team of designers, researchers, engineers, and product leaders partner across the PayPal family of companies as one team to deliver unique and meaningful products for millions of customers around the world. We’re actively building out our UX teams in Chicago, IL and Austin, TX but are open to other locations depending on role and candidate.

As a Product Designer at PayPal you will have an opportunity to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for a broad range of customers from small businesses to large enterprises, from shoppers to investors. You will work alongside your cross-functional team members to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible experience for our global customers. We are looking for design support for our Credit products, specifically contributing to how our merchants implement our "Pay Later" installment products .

Our Product Designers influence teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle. This includes drawing on data and research to inform design concepts and decision making. We start with asking the right questions and end with optimized, best-in-class deliverables. Our designers are great storytellers, active listeners, technology enthusiasts and experts of their craft.

As a Product Designer at PayPal you will be the voice of the customer. With some guidance, from your manager and extended design team you will be able to go deep on a specific area of our product experience. You’ll build expertise in the domain and customers, and also foster relationships with your team of cross functional partners.

Job responsibilities:

Work with cross-functional team members in the execution and delivery of PayPal’s products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process

Create high-quality deliverables with some oversight and guidance from a senior designer, within timelines and project requirements

Leverage and foster the use of established UX techniques in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and materials

Commitment to WCAG and A11y standards, challenging teams to build inclusive experiences- regardless of regardless of circumstance, affluence, culture, language, age, or ability.


Requirements:

BA/BS + 2 years or Master’s degree +1 year experience in the field of user experience, design, research or related fields; for example, Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences OR alternative equivalent project/portfolio experience

Familiarity with modern screen design tools like Figma
