We are looking for an Accessibility Engineer that is passionate about enabling travel experiences for all users. You will collaborate directly with design and development teams across the organization to build plans for and execute accessibility assessments, make recommendations on innovative solutions for building accessible experiences, interact with product owners and designers to champion accessibility and work closely with the Accessibility team members to push the boundaries of the organizational culture and understanding of what it means to deliver on the promise of building accessible products.
Responsibilities:

Creative and Collaborative Software Engineering

You will drive investigations, execute assessments and make recommendations for improvements around Accessibility.
You will craft solutions that empower our business to scale and adapt by partnering with our development teams to tackle problems pertaining to Accessibility
Collaborate with designers, framework owners and other developers to build Accessible components.
You will operate effectively within the organization's formal and informal structures by building relationships across departments and understanding the roles and perspectives of diverse partner groups.
You will help build demonstration websites and components as an example of good practices.
You will work to continually build knowledge of our products, capabilities, usage, and future partner needs
You will support alignment of Accessibility in design, product planning, and software development in the teams you work with.

Accessibility

Be a champion and advocate of Accessibility, driving solutions, resolving issues and leading culture change.
You will exemplify understanding, consideration and adoption of accessibility in the organization.
You will ensure a thriving Accessibility champion network for the organizations, teams and locations you partner with.
Stay up to date with relevant state-of-the-art Accessibility technology, equipment, standard methodologies and practices.

Working knowledge of modern front-end web development (including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas in a collaborative partnership.
3+ years of related experience in a technical field, including software design and/or development.

Experience working with Accessibility and familiarity with WCAG guidelines
Experience working within an Agile methodology
Knowledge of native mobile development languages for iOS and Android a bonus
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent struggle to better yourself through training and development.
